This week I handed in both Bob’s essay and the professional project and now have to start think about planning the end of year show.

Server transfers

As the site and forum were both database powered, we designed them on my servers, however when the course want to use it and be hosted from there servers will need to transfer them over. This may prove to be difficult however we think its possible.

We are now doing some user testing on the website and forum and so far all feedback has been good. However we have spotted a couple of small graphical changes that need to be addressed.

We thought to make it easy for people to navigate between the main site and the forum we would make a main hub page which you would be directed to when you go to the URL. From here you can be linked to any area of the site.

We have finished the template design for the forum as well as having the working gallery. We also have come up with the individual forum and category names so that members can see where they have to post for their specific problem/question.

Joomla website is up and working with the template we designed we think it looks good and has some very nice features such as the slider at the bottom, and the gallery.

Helping hand

as we are both quite new to php after we installed the gallery a couple problems came up because it was not made for the template we used. However we managed to contact the guy that created the gallery addon and he helped us to install it properly. Very nice of him, and it works perfectly now.
